Most boosting services hide their math. We're publishing ours because international students paying in AUD deserve to know where their money goes — especially when alternative services quote in USD then add a 15% FX surprise.
The 4 components of every boost order
When you pay A$30 for an Iron→Bronze boost, you're paying for:
| Component | % | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Booster wages | 70-85% | The actual person doing the games (Trainee 70% → Master 85%) |
| Platform / tools | 5-8% | Stripe fees (1.75% + A$0.30), AU GST collection, VPN, server costs |
| Admin / support | 5-10% | Order matching, dispute handling, 24h response SLA |
| Risk reserve | 5-12% | Refund pool, anti-ban budget, account replacement insurance |
For Iron→Bronze (A$30):
- Booster gets A$22-25 (70-83%)
- We collect ~A$2.50 GST (10% on net of A$22.50)
- Stripe fee ~A$0.83
- Net to TetraGG ops: A$1.85-4.85
That's not a typo. Net margin on a single Iron rank is under 5 AUD.
We make money on the bundle (volume + repeat buyers), not the per-rank.
Why each rank costs what it costs
Iron → Bronze · A$30
The "we'll take it" rank. Most boosters can carry Iron in 60-90 minutes per rank. Risk is low (no derank inside Iron). Reverse-auction pricing — if we go below A$30, we lose boosters to other services.
Silver → Gold · A$60
The "this hurts" rank. Silver-Gold is the single longest stretch in Valorant — average 42 hours of grinding for someone who's not a smurf. Booster carry: 4-6 hours. Risk: derank possible if we throw 2 games.
Platinum → Diamond · A$150
Pricing inflection point. From here, you're paying for actual skill. A booster who reliably carries Plat→Dia is in the top 8% of OCE players. Carry time: 6-10 hours.
Diamond → Immortal · A$420
The "real boost" tier. Immortal+ is top 1% OCE. A booster who carries D→I in <12 hours commands A$50+/hour. Plus matchmaking gets harder (longer queues, smaller pool of potential opponents).
Immortal → Radiant · POA (price on application)
We don't price this on the website because Radiant is rank-dependent on the top 500 OCE leaderboard, which means RR ladder, not a fixed grind. We quote per case.
Why coaching is priced per hour, not per session
A common scam: a service quotes "A$50 per session" without specifying time. You show up, get 25 minutes of "watch this VOD" with no follow-up.
Our pricing is per 60-minute session including:
- Live voice during your ranked game
- 1 VOD review of your last match (15 min of the hour)
- PDF summary delivered within 24h
- Recording kept on a private link for replay
If we did 30-min sessions priced at A$30, we'd cut admin overhead but you'd miss the VOD step that's where 70% of the actual learning happens.
The 4 coach tiers, demystified
| Tier | Rate | Min rank | What you actually get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Verified | A$55/h | Diamond active | Mid-coach, structured curriculum, good for Iron→Plat |
| Gold | A$75/h | Ascendant 1+ | Above-coach skill, "ex-tournament" experience, good for Plat→Dia |
| Master | A$100/h | Immortal 2+ | Tournament-experienced, best for Dia→Asc breakthrough |
| Pro | A$140/h | Immortal 3+ / ex-pro | Verifiable competitive play, best for Asc→Imm and meta-specific work |
The big jump (A$100 → A$140 for Pro) reflects:
- Verifiable tournament history required (LAN tournaments, OCE Premier finals, etc.)
- Pro-level demand pacing: a Pro coach has 6-8 students max because they're often still competing
- Tournament-specific knowledge: agents/comps/protocols you won't find on YouTube
Why duo queue costs more per hour than boosting
Wait, what? Duo (you play with a booster) ranges A$10-50/match. A boost (booster plays alone) is "cheaper per rank." That seems backwards.
Reality:
- Boost: booster plays 8-15 games to gain 1 rank. They're efficient. Their hourly rate works out to A$25-50/h.
- Duo: you play 1-2 games with them per match. You make calls, you might lose. A duo match takes 35-50 minutes including queue time. Their hourly rate works out to A$15-60/h depending on tier.
But duo is risk-free for your account (you're logged in), so there's a "safety premium" baked in.
If you care about maximum rank-per-dollar: pick boost. If you care about getting better while gaining rank: pick duo.
The 10 GST + AU-tax things to know
- All TetraGG prices include 10% GST — quoted price = total price
- GST is collected on services consumed in AU — booster from AU, you in AU = GST applies
- No GST surprise at checkout — what you see is what you pay
- Tax invoice provided within 24h of order completion — useful if you claim deductions as a streamer/business
- AUSTRAC compliance — we don't accept USDT/crypto (AML triggers we won't take)
- PayID / Stripe / WeChat Pay AU are the only payment methods (no F&F)
- Refund includes GST proportionally if applicable
- Foreign buyer (non-AU) pricing is the same — we don't charge AUD GST to overseas buyers but we don't deduct it either
- Payment plan available on orders >A$200 (Stripe Klarna integration via AfterPay) — interest-free
- Currency: All prices in AUD. We do not quote in USD. A$ never converts.
The competitor comparison we wish we didn't have to write
The most common alternative for AU students is a Discord-based 一条龙 service quoting in USD. Their A$30 OCE rank looks like:
Quoted: $20 USD (Iron→Bronze)
Stripe: $20 USD = ~A$30.50 (FX 1.525)
PayPal F&F: 4.4% fee absorbed by you = ~A$31.84
"Region surcharge OCE": +$5 USD (mentioned post-checkout) = +A$7.62
Total billed: A$39.46
That's 31% more than the A$30 you thought you were paying.
We just say A$30. You pay A$30.
What this means for your decision
If you're shopping boosting services, ask three pricing questions:
1. "Is this AUD or USD?" Get this in writing.
2. "Are GST, region surcharge, and payment fees included?" If they say "GST extra" — they're not registered for GST and can't actually invoice you, which is a separate red flag.
3. "What payment method, and what's the fee on it?" Stripe credit card 1.75%, PayID 0%, WeChat Pay AU 1.4%. Anything higher = walk.
