// inside a 60-minute aim session

25 · 25 · 10 — what an hour actually looks like

No vague "aim tips". A timed loop with deliverables you keep.

  1. 1

    Routine review

    0 – 25 min

You share your current aim warm-up routine — Aim Lab scenarios, range bot drills, deathmatch warm-ups, whatever you actually do. Coach watches a sample, calls out the wasted reps (the scenario you do because it feels good but trains nothing transferable), and rebuilds the routine around the gap your gameplay actually shows.

  2. 2

    Live deathmatch with coach feedback

    25 – 50 min

Deathmatch or Team DM on OCE. Coach is on voice giving real-time feedback — pre-aim height, crosshair placement on common angles, micro-adjust patterns, post-frag reset. You play; coach narrates the fix, frame by frame. The point is to break the bad habit in the act, not after the round in a VOD.

  3. 3

    Written homework

    50 – 60 min

Coach writes a 5-7 day routine into a PDF + Discord DM: 2-3 specific scenarios with reps, the in-game range drill (with bot count and difficulty), and the one habit you're drilling all week. Plus a measurable goal you'll bring back next session — not 'aim better' but 'first-bullet HS rate on the standard wall scenario from X to Y'.

// what each tier actually trains

Pick the tier matched to your bottleneck

Aim coaching at L2 is not aim coaching at L4 with a bigger price tag. Different bottlenecks, different drills. See the full coach matrix on /coaches.

L2

Verified Coach

Iron → Platinum players still building the fundamentals.

Focus areas

  • Crosshair placement at head height on every common angle
  • Flick mechanic — wrist anchor, no whole-arm swing for short flicks
  • Tracking fundamentals — smooth pursuit on strafing targets, no jitter
  • Pre-aim discipline — never look at the floor between rooms
  • Reset routine after each frag (re-centre, re-listen, re-position)
L3

Gold Coach

Platinum → Diamond players plateaued in solo queue.

Focus areas

  • Peek-strafe — counter-strafe shot timing on jiggle peeks
  • Off-angle positioning — pre-aiming uncommon angles to break duels
  • Crosshair placement on level changes (stairs, ramps, boxes)
  • Spray-to-tap transition — when to break the spray for headshot taps
  • Util-supported aim (smokes, flashes, conc lineups) to set up the duel
L4

Master Coach

Ascendant → Immortal players, 5-stacks, and Premier-bound teams.

Focus areas

  • Op flick angles — wide-swing vs jiggle-peek timing on common Op angles
  • Phantom vs Vandal trade-off by map / range
  • Spray-to-tap meta — pulling out of full spray for guaranteed HS
  • Crosshair micro-adjust during mid-round chaos (post-flash recovery)
  • Demo breakdown of pro players on your role — what to copy and what NOT to

// the trainer side

Aim Lab scenarios coaches actually recommend

Real scenario names with what they train. Difficulty knobs are tuned to you inside the session — we don't hand out fabricated "optimal settings" that age out with the next Aim Lab patch.

Scenario

Gridshot

The canonical click-target precision scenario. Targets pop in a grid, click to clear.

Best baseline for first-bullet click speed and accuracy. Use it as a daily warm-up benchmark — score trend over weeks tells you whether the routine is working, not whether you 'feel sharp' today.

Scenario

MicroFlex

Short, fast flicks at small targets — the muscle group most Valorant duels actually use.

Closer to in-game flick distances than the big-arm sweep scenarios. Builds the wrist anchor most OCE players are missing.

Scenario

Reflex Tracking

Tracking task focused on the first-acquisition phase rather than long sustained tracks.

Valorant tracking encounters are short. Long-sustained Krunker-style tracking trains the wrong muscle pattern. Reflex Tracking matches the duel reality better.

// aim coaching FAQ

Common questions

For general coaching questions see /coaches; for general/pricing FAQs see /faq.

How is paid aim coaching different from just grinding Aim Lab?+

Aim Lab makes you better at Aim Lab. Most players grinding scenarios in isolation hit a plateau where their Gridshot score keeps rising but their in-game first-bullet HS rate doesn't. Coaching reads the gap between your aim trainer numbers and your gameplay, then targets the specific habit (pre-aim height, peek-strafe timing, micro-adjust on stairs) that's bottlenecking the transfer. The trainer is a tool; the coaching is the diagnosis.

Should I use Aim Lab, KovaaK's, or just in-game deathmatch?+

Each does a different job. Aim Lab is friendlier UX and has scenarios closer to Valorant geometry. KovaaK's has a deeper library and the community-made scenarios pro players actually use. In-game deathmatch is irreplaceable for crosshair placement on real maps. Coaches usually build routines that mix all three — never 100% of any one. Specifics depend on your rank and bottleneck.

Will the coach tell me exact Aim Lab scenario difficulty settings?+

Coaches recommend specific scenarios by name and give you a target rep count, but exact difficulty knob settings shift across Aim Lab and KovaaK's patches and aren't a single magic number. The coach picks the difficulty inside your session based on watching you play, and writes it into your homework PDF. Don't trust any guide that hands out 'the' difficulty settings — those numbers age out quickly.

Which coach tier should I pick for aim training?+

Pick the tier about 2 ranks above yours. Iron→Silver players get more from a Verified-tier coach drilling fundamentals than a Master breaking down Op flick angles. Diamond → Immortal climbers need the Master tier because their bottleneck has stopped being mechanical and started being decision-making around the mechanic. Picking a coach too far above your rank wastes the session — habits won't transfer.

Are aim coaching sessions bilingual?+

Yes. All TetraGG coaches are current or graduate Chinese international students in AU/NZ. Pick EN, ZH or 中英混合 at checkout — applies to both the live voice call and the written homework PDF. Most aim terminology has clean Chinese equivalents; coaches will use whichever language is fastest for explaining the fix in the moment.

Does my monitor refresh rate or DPI matter for aim?+

Yes, modestly. The 144Hz to 240Hz jump is real — see /blog/valorant-monitor-144hz-vs-240hz-budget-au for the budget tradeoffs. DPI and in-game sens together set your effective aim feel; the universal mistake is high DPI + low sens (which gives weird sub-pixel jitter) or low DPI + high sens (which kills micro-adjust). Detailed walkthrough on /blog/valorant-sensitivity-dpi-guide-oce. Gear matters; gear-only doesn't make you Immortal.

Will Aim Lab numbers actually go up after coaching?+

Usually yes within 2-4 weeks if you do the homework, but Aim Lab score growth isn't the deliverable — the deliverable is your in-game first-bullet HS rate, your trade timing, and your ranked RR over the next month. We track the in-game numbers in your post-session report, not the trainer leaderboard rank.

How many aim coaching sessions do I need?+

Most clients see meaningful change in 3-5 sessions across 4-6 weeks, with self-driven daily homework in between. Single one-shot sessions are useful for diagnosing the bottleneck and seeding a routine but rarely move the in-game number alone — habits need reps over time to lock in.
